The DHS Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) established the Cyber Security Division (CSD), within the Directorate’s Homeland
Security Advanced Research Projects Agency (HSARPA), in FY 2011 in response to the increasing importance of the cybersecurity
mission. CSD’s mission is to develop and transition new technologies, tools, and techniques to protect and secure systems,
networks, infrastructure, and users, improving the foundational elements of our nation’s critical infrastructure and the world’s
information infrastructure; and, to provide coordination and research and development leadership across federal, state, and
municipal government; international partners; the private sector; and academia to improve cybersecurity research infrastructure.
USCIRF is an independent, bipartisan federal body that monitors violations of religious freedom abroad and makes recommendations
to the President, the Secretary of State and Congress.
Nationwide, Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) medical facilities use the creative arts as one form of rehabilitative treatment
to help Veterans recover from and cope with physical and emotional disabilities. Across the country each year, Veterans treated
at VA facilities compete in a local creative arts competition.
