Description:   The Ysleta del Sur Pueblo is a federally recognized U.S. American Indian tribe located in West Texas and within El Paso County. The Pueblo is one of three tribes located in Texas and the only Pueblo located in the state. Founded in 1682, after the Pueblo Revolt of 1680, the tribe has maintained its traditional political system and ceremonial practices and continues to flourish as a Pueblo community. Ysleta del Sur Pueblo has also established itself as an important economic contributor in El Paso's lower valley.
